I think people should realize that she doesn’t live a typical life. At her age, most people have a regular job and simply don’t have the time to focus on all of this. Yes, she’s a YouTuber, but she also comes from a wealthy family. From my perspective, having so much free time may contribute to her focusing more on her mental health struggles. When you’re busy just trying to make a living and get through each day, you often don’t have the time or energy to dwell on every mental challenge. That’s my two cents, no hate❤

The bike repair struggle is real. I'm a man in my thirties and I have to call my dad every time one of my tires pops. The one time I thought I did it correctly on my own, I pinched the tube in the rim and it immediately exploded again when I started biking. I screamed in the middle of the street. Huge props for muscling through that.

14:19 "I'm really proud of myself for not calling for help" - maybe it's just badly worded and you mean you are proud of not giving up, but calling for help is completely normal and often a wise decision. You tried, you realised it's more then you can swallow and you ask for help. Very human thing to do

My boyfriend has been cycling for 2 years now and there’s still mental breakdown involved with bike repair 🤣… it may be a universal experience

My wife and I have been following your videos, and we're both rooting for your success. I thought I'd share a few tips I've learned from my own cycling journey that might help.

1. Tires – The GP5000 is notorious for being difficult to mount. Don't be afraid to use a plastic tire lever to help seat the tire on the rim. Just be extra careful when working with carbon wheels to avoid damaging them.

2. Pump – Invest in a proper floor pump with a pressure gauge. A Lezyne or Park Tool floor pump is a great choice and will make inflating your tires much easier and more accurate.

3. Tire Pressure – You'll find the recommended minimum and maximum tire pressure printed on the tire sidewall, usually next to the branding. It's listed in both PSI and bar.

4. Tire Width – By today's standards, wider tires are generally better. They provide more comfort, better grip, and in many cases are actually faster than narrower tires.

5. Inner Tubes – Your carbon rims look to be around 50 mm deep, so I recommend carrying spare tubes with at least an 80 mm valve stem. That gives you plenty of valve sticking out, making it much easier to attach a pump.

5.1 The tube that burst when you used the electric pump appears to have been a TPU tube. TPU tubes are lighter and roll faster, but they're also much more fragile than traditional tubes. For now, I'd stick with butyl tubes until you're more comfortable with tire changes.

6. Tools and Spares – Always carry a mini tire pump, CO2 cartridge and inflator, and at least two spare inner tubes, and learn how to use tire patches in case you run out of spares. Bring a quality multi-tool with a chain breaker (I recommend the Topeak Ninja or, my personal favorite, the Topeak Hexus X), along with a spare set of tire levers. I also recommend carrying a few spare valve cores—they're inexpensive and can save your ride. Remember: Two is one. One is none.

Tubeless – Going tubeless lets you run lower tire pressures, which improves comfort and grip. However, it can get messy if you puncture a tire. The sealant will usually plug small holes, but if it doesn't, you'll need tubeless tire plugs (dynaplug or Stan's DART) to repair the puncture. You can also use an inner tube if place of the tubeless setup if needed. Keep in mind that if you rip the tire's sidewall, it's generally not repairable on the road.

7.1 Check whether your tires are marked Tubeless Ready (TR). Your rims also need to be tubeless compatible (or converted with the proper tape and valves). And once again, because of your deep carbon rims, make sure you use long tubeless valves.

Good luck!

Absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help as well, you don't have to if you don't want to, but never feel weak if you do as for help, ever....

For pool training, I got this tip from professional synchronised swimmers: don't wash your hair every time; just "wash" with conditioner instead of shampoo and always use leave-in conditioner and oil after. When I used to swim every day this worked wonders, and all the protein I was consuming was key to good hair, even when in the pool every day. I love swimming <3

the tire popping noise is good. it’s the tire re-beading itself (locking itself to the rim) but i can imagine it’s scary if you’re not expecting it!

Girl I'm right there with you 😅 my bike felt like torture and the scale was going up while I was killing myself training. I was ready to give up honestly. Then someone in a women's fitness group recommended the Menopause Transition Playbook (Lisa.Grant). I followed the food reset and everything shifted—energy returned, inflammation dropped, and I lost 24 lbs without cutting calories. More endurance athletes should know about this honestly.
