A game full of eldritch horrors and nightmarish entities, and that audio log with the ranger stuffing his face with the Mold is still possibly the grossest thing imaginable.

Imagine if the mold is actually intelligent, but it just doesn't think we are/can be because we're so large compared to it. Like a reversal of us thinking bacteria can't be intelligent because it's so small.
What if, then, the solution to the mold is not eradication, but establish communication? Basically telling it "Hey! We're alive, and sentient/sapient, just like you! And you're taking over our world and killing us! Please stop!"

Your control videos are one of my favorite ongoing series uploaded by YouTubers I'm subbed to! Remedy is tied with supergiant games as my favorite game devs. I've been obsessed with both studios their art and creators just as long!
Control is one of my favorites theyve made, almost as much as Alan Wake! Control being inspired by SCP is fascinating and has put the genre of new weird that control,Alan wake, SCP, cosmic horror and many other things I love belong too.
Control 2 can't come soon enough!

The mold sounds like it holds very similar narratives to the Not-Mother that infected and caused the madness/shape shifting of the kids in Ordinary, the disappearnce of the the adults. The hunger, the control, the expansion into a universe. I wonder if an element of that being morphed into what is known as the Mold, linked to the will of the Not-Mother...even though it's slide, threshold has been cut off. Are we really sure the threshold is fully sealed after all.

Never understood why she didn't make the comparison to coral behaving virally, since it sounds like that is what it is exactly.
But maybe I'm misunderstanding.

A bacterial level civilization whose equivalent of urban spread looks like mold to us. That is wild to conceive of. I have no idea how the Bureau is going to get this under control at all. It has completely spilled out the Oldest House at this point. Same with the Hiss
