  I’m literally preparing my LA to SF trip and only using public transit I love when a video uncannily resembles my same exact circumstance, answers, and gives instructions for my questions!

  Even better is to add a Clipper Card to your phone and load it up with the exact fare prior to your trip. Not to mention the Clipper Card card can be used for public transportation (Muni) in the city.

  BART is by far the easiest and most reliable way to and from SFO but It's never that busy, even at rush hour, I'm always surprised how few are actually getting on and off at SFO. I've always wondered why it's not more widely used. It's still cheaper than an uber or taxi.

  It should be mentioned! Recently, BART has started accepting credit cards, in addition to Clipper cards. So, *if you do not plan on using transit outside of BART*, you do not have to get a Clipper card. At the time of writing, all other major Bay Area transit agencies still require Clipper (including Muni, AC Transit, VTA, Caltrain...).

  Hi Dan.<br><br>I graduated from San Francisco State University. Back in the day. (That means BD. Before Dan.) Then worked for two years in downtown SF before relocating to Chicago.<br><br>I rode BART every day. However, at that time, the last stop was Daly City. You couldn&apos;t go all the way to/from the airport. I&apos;m glad you can now.<br><br>Montgomery St. That was my stop!<br><br>I&apos;m sure the restaurants there are still great. Chinatown is a must! NY and SF have the two most famous Chinatowns in the country.

  Once you get the Clipper Card and load it with money, it can used on the Ferries, Buses, trains (Muni and BART), plus other regional transit systems. SF has GREAT public transit options.

  Sorry about the delay. &nbsp;I&apos;m just seeing this now. &nbsp;My Clipper card was free because I&apos;m older than dirt and I also get discounted fares but I think the senior card is available only if bought in person in case you needed to know that. &nbsp;Someone else probably commented already on Antioch&apos;s pronunciation - you made a good effort. &nbsp;The Spanish names like La Jolla and Vallejo and the Indian names all throughout the country are the real puzzlers. &nbsp;<br><br>When you got off BART you walked by the Palace Hotel, a grand old place that survived the earthquake and fire of 1906. &nbsp;It&apos;s also the place where President Harding, the first President to visit Canada while in office, died under questionable circumstances. &nbsp;The rumor has long been that his wife killed him because of his numerous affairs but that rumor has now been discredited.
