  I will never understand mothers who see their daughters as competition. It&apos;s literally disturbing and borderline smexualizing a child, calling them a &quot;co-wife&quot;. While me and my husband&apos;s first is a boy, he looks exactly like his father, just with my nose and my personality. Also, children in general require a lot of attention from BOTH parents, so if your child has all of your husband&apos;s attention, then that tells me that you aren&apos;t doing your job as the MOTHER of that child, and you&apos;ve inadvertently made your husband the default parent because of your one-sided competition with your CHILD....So no wonder dad gets more attention, if I was that child, I wouldn&apos;t want to be around someone with such animosity towards me, either. I was a daddy&apos;s girl for sure, still am, but my mother (while we had our own issues) never saw me as competition for her HUSBAND.
