My friend is Filipino, married and has a maid/helper, it’s great. It all depends on what your intentions are. The hardest part is the managing of household problems from the other side of the planet, and even with technology today isn’t that difficult. Getting ready to go back next month, we’re all excited.

Man some women working as a maid know their customer if they feel like it’s strictly professional then it’s clean and go home but if they can tell the customer maybe wants more she will offer more services

I would prefer to hire a female student and support her in that way. It should go without saying that the time she spends studying is effectively part of her working hours. Actual working hours should be flexible so they can be adapted to her studies; she can handle major cleaning tasks on days when she has no classes.<br>Also, we shouldn't forget that a lot of money can be saved when she does the shopping. That way, she at least partially finances herself.

40 years ago I lived in South America for a year. My apartment was half the top floor of a 5 story building. I got a maid through a female acquaintance. She cooked my breakfast and dinner. I used to go to the gym 6 days a week so I had to cook the same meal ever day ( for my diet). I would heat it back up so she could go to night school. She must have been in her early 20’s. Native indigenous type. My apartment had a servant quarters. She did all my shopping, all my laundry, cleaning. I remember paying her about $80 a month. She had a pretty good deal when others would keep their maids working into the evening just for a cup of coffee. Here in the Philippines I wouldn’t do the same now that I am married.

I probably going to possibly live in the Philippines with my son. Have a Housekeeper there cheap but I would pay more for it. Especially if she has a large family 😊.
