  my most miserable experience for amiibo hunting was when i called toys R us and asked if they had any king dedede amiibo in stock, they said they did, then i went over there just for them to proudly present to me an amiibo of diddy kong 💀

  It's funny to consider Amiibo is Nintendo's entry into the toys-to-life fad, and it thoroughly outlived the toys-to-life fad.

  My Amiibo horror story is that I worked at Best Buy during the craze and despite being an employee, I got no special access to rare ones. All I had was special knowledge that our store only had one Wario Amiibo on release day. I had to be there at store open or else I wouldn't get it. So I drove there at 4am and waited in my car. This was winter so it was freezing. After a few hours, I had to pee. But I certainly wasn't going to give up my spot by leaving to go to a gas station or something. So...I got in the back seat, opened up my travel mug that previously held coffee, and...well. Yeah. Anyway, I did get the Wario amiibo. EARNED the Wario amiibo

  they should've made an amiibo festival 2 where you had to scan the amiibos twice as often
