  It sounds better for sure but also as important is how much easier the player was able to hit the notes and the double stops and string crossings. I can tell playability was hugely improved.<br>Amazing job Olaf!

  One of my favorite parts of Youtube is the ability to watch masters of their craft doing what they do best. You took what is clearly a well-loved instrument, and made it truly sing. That young woman is incredibly lucky to have been a part of this project, and will remember this for the rest of her life.

  Years ago we bought an old violin for $150 in a liquor store of all places. Turns out It was a German gagliano reproduction from between 1880 -1910. It had 2 large cracks from the tail that had been &quot;repaired&quot; with epoxy or something &amp; the front plate was completely off. The local violin repair guy said not worth fixing and it sat for years. But 2 years ago I decided to fix it myself. Thanks to what I learned from your channel &amp; my previous woodworking skills, I was able to repair the damage, glue the top back on (hide glue of course) clean up the fingerboard, French polish it and it&apos;s now a lovely instrument saved from the trash. Thanks for putting your knowledge out here for us.

  Olaf, it’s a true win win. You make an average instrument into something much more. The student hears that difference and learns what a wonderful sound they can make. You also generate revenue which allows you to continue this type of service. Everybody wins. Well done Sir.

  I&apos;m a guitarist and I know how much better the feel and sound of my guitars is after being set up properly by a skilled luthier. Thank you for making this young lady see her future much better. You&apos;ve increased her passion for her instrument.
