In the warmer climate I regularly achieve potential range of over 400 miles and 5 miles per kWh consumption in my CLA 250+. Over 10 months including winter average consumption is 4.4. Amazing range for the price. Infotainment works well in everyday use. Remember cheapest version is £45k.

As an owner of a CLE (which borrows parts of the old C class dash and parts from the E class dash), I have no god damn idea what Mercedes were thinking installing a completely flat dashboard with a display. The old way, of it being tilted was so much more comfortable and stylish. It honestly just feels like a cost saving measure in a car that basically starts at £40,000. Mental.

I was out driving with a friend a few weeks ago. He has a luxury Audi station car from the early 00's. It's a high mile vehicle which has seen better days, but I was blown away by the interior. All shiny surfaces were polished metal of some description. Most of the dash was either (real) wood and fabric. No piano black plastic anywhere to be seen.

it is so time for designers to get over the idea that screens will help anything feel modern or what have you. Especially when you want to make something feel like quality and craftsmanship... give us wood, metal and mechanics.
