A follow up on this after Q4 would be great!

Alexis, my two cents would be to start a Whatnot show with your jewerly and even your clothing. You are a very personable person with amazing photos and good inventory. Its a shame it gets buried on ebay because of the competition but I believe you would be able to get a great following on Whatnot and sell your items quickly and potentially for much more than you may initially think. Some people shy away from Whatnot because they don't think they will get the margins they are looking for. I think with your personality, your quality, and the care that you show for your brand and items, Whatnot would be a homerun for you. In my opinion, you are not doing anything wrong minus trusting AI for your prices but that’s an easy fix. I wish you an amazing Q4!!

I've used AI for pricing suggestions and I've found it usually quotes higher prices than most sold comps.

I have used AI to price some items. I found it helpful because the AI confidently prices high and I price to low . The AI gives me confidence to raise my price but usually not as high as the AI suggested. The AI ChatGPT has accurately priced a vintage camera by recognizing that the lens was rare. Chat also priced Hello Kitty appliances higher than I would of and it sold ! <br>So for me it's helpful on some oddball items. I don't use it for everything. But I do enjoy talking through the oddballs with ChatGPT

Just because something is free/didn’t cost you anything, doesn’t mean it’s worth trying to sell. You are storing something that is taking space and energy. Give away stuff that isn’t selling, take the small loss and let the Universe fill the space with better inventory. I promise this works!

I occasionally have looked at the AI suggestions on eBay for suggested pricing but then quickly see that the "similar listings" are in a completely different category, not even closely the same type of items in the wildest of imaginations

It gets the prices wrong most of the time especially when it comes to vintage and to band t shirts.

Worth noting when looking at demand for clothing, you really have to filter for size, used, and color to get the best picture. The first two are essential factors for a buyer and color is a very important one. This will narrow down a broad category a lot and give you a much more accurate and tangible idea of demand.
