  It's funny, people with darker skin value being lighter skinned in their cultures, but ive been bullied by other white people for being pale and not getting a suntan in the summer. You just cant win. Be yourself.

  Dating in US/NYC feels robotic, less flirty, less about enjoying time together, less about allowing the sparks to grow naturally, and all about checking lists, securing a life-commitment/husband as fast as possible from the first date. Who can relax and enjoy that, that's impossible. My experiences in South America and Europe is much more natural, relaxed, enjoyable and less anxiety-driven

  Some things important to notice: <br><br>1. This is a tourist spot, with a higher concentration of foreigners. For that reason alone it will be more common to find locals dating foreigners, but it doesn&apos;t really reflect a broader trend in the country. The fact is most Mexicans date other Mexicans, as in most countries locals will date locals. The title frames it as if ALL Mexican women choose foreign men when that is not really the case. <br><br>2. The reason local men don&apos;t date foreign women as much as foreign men date local woman is because foreign men are more likely to be traveling alone and with the explicit purpose of dating and hooking up, whereas it&apos;s less common for foreigner women to travel alone, usually they&apos;re either with their families, friend groups or significant others, and for these reasons they&apos;re usually not traveling with the purpose of dating (perhaps hooking up but not dating). Traveling alone is more of a male thing because it is less risky overall than traveling alone for women. <br><br>3. All the Mexican women interviewed are clearly middle upper to upper class. You can tell by the accents, makeup, skin tones and the fact that they&apos;re fluent in English (which is not a common thing in Mexico despite neighboring the USA). That also influences their perspectives and worldviews and choices; it&apos;s far easier and common for these types of women to date foreigner men because their social class grants them a freedom lower class Mexican women don&apos;t have or would struggle much more to make it work. &nbsp;Although &quot;mejorar la raza&quot; is a generalized idea amongst the population, historically it has always been much more an upper class thing because that&apos;s the people that tended to have access to it in the first place. Mexican elites historically have always felt foreign themselves (either Spanish, French, European and nowadays American), so having the daughters of the family marry foreign men (specifically of European ancestry) was that status symbol to solidify the already wealthy family as indeed &quot;European&quot;. And the influence these wealthy families have had over culture and media has resulted in the majority of Mexicans to be infected with this idea. You can just look at the types of actors shown in Mexican media and compare them to the average Mexican, or observe the last names of the average Mexican and the last names of wealthy Mexicans; you&apos;ll find far more variety amongst the wealthy and many foreign sounding last names.

  As a handsome, 6 ft, college educated, successful Mexican, I couldn’t care less. Mexican women aren’t even on my radar if I’m completely honest. I date white and Asian women primarily.

  I think you should talk more about chemistry when interviewing Latinas; that&apos;s definitely their main complaint when dating foreigners, at least from women in my country (Brazil). &quot;They&apos;re nice, but something&apos;s missing,&quot; &quot;They don&apos;t have pegada,&quot; or anything related to that.
