I'd appreciate if you can pin this. (EDIT: Author responded below! Click to view replies.)

MyQuirkisFred has announced that the infection AU is on semi-permanent hiatus. The app he was using for drawing crashed and required a complete uninstallation, losing years of work and causing everything he has ever made to be effectively deleted. Everything he had and had planned for the Pinkie's Senses AU is effectively gone. We MAY see a continuation in the future, but if we do it'll take him months, if not years, to get new stuff drawn.

i like this au because its semi-realistic to how real viruses and infections work. it takes a long time for a virus to mutate to be able to affect multiple species

Tiny detail. The picture with the snake and the crow. It wasn't Crystalis that Celestia was wrapping around. It was Luna. You couldn't tell because you only saw her moon side but you could see her tail. Then the text where she said "I made a grave mistake" in dark blue which should be her associated color.

I feel bad for Pinkie. It's not like she intentionally, let alone knowingly, caused the outbreak. Especially since she had the parasites, which started out harmless, ever since she was a filly.

the au is put on hold for now, the artist put the reason why on their tumblr, but basically they put it on hold to work out the lore and stuff THEN continue instead of making up the lore as they draw, at least if I'm remembering right anyway

The one thing that this au surprised me with is the fact that celestia looks like a bucking eldritch horror! I to thought that monstrosity was supposed to be pinkie or some kind of entity that embodies disease or something. Also, love Discord's design! Makes him look more like a primordial being, that look just really embodies someone who's literally chaos himself.

I really like that this AU takes the other races into account and not just the ponies.

25:43 if any of y’all wonder how Luna is ‘gone’ I believe since we know that Nightmare Moon (I think that’s her name) cast a spell on Celestia when she got defeated, causing Celestia to loose her control of her powers, and if you look closely at the giant moon here, you can see a little color difference in the moon, if you follow the dark spots on the moon you can see that it resembles the shape of a pony, and since we know Luna is gone, Celestia used her powers to send Luna to the moon, but Celestia didn’t do it on purpose because she had no control of her powers. I hope this helps! ❤
