Better to offend a friend with the truth than to be deceived by lies.

When I wasn’t saved and living with my boyfriend at the time I remember my old Pastor preaching a sermon one Sunday morning and he said you’ll live with a man who will get a license from the city for his dog but won’t marry you so you continue to shack up and live in sin and will die and go to hell.
I was so shook up because I had never heard that before.
Listen, I went home shook and pondered it for a few days, then told my boyfriend that if we weren’t going to get married I needed to move out and get on with my life.
He started planning our wedding that day ok? 😂😂😂😂😂
We had already been living together 2 1/2yrs at that point so we got married and then Jesus saved me and filled my with the Holy Ghost not even six months later and we’ve been together ever since 24yrs in December.
Sometimes that hard preaching will save your soul, but only if you let it.
Holiness is still right.

Any Pastor that encourages his congregation to READ not just take his word stands on what he is teaching. I can 100% respect that

My Dad, a retired minister, was asked to leave the Methodist denomination because he preached against homosexuality, they gave him a choice to shut up or leave, he said you will never shut me up from teaching the truth of Jesus Christ and I will not be responsible for one soul going to hell, hallelujah!!!!!!!

Whenever a man of God says: Don't just trust me, but read the bible for yourself! That is a man worth listening to and focusing on. 'Pastors have a higher calling on their lives indeed'. So true!
