Canadian citizens can declare to be a non-resident for tax purposes if they sever their major Canadian ties. These include having a permanent job in Canada, owning a real estate where he stays for more than 183 days per year, or supporting a dependent living in Canada. Hope this helps. <br>Love your videos, and of course the bucket hats 😊

Valterri Bottas may have residency in Monaco, but I know for sure he has a place in La Turbie, France, just overlooking Monaco.

I have numerous Canadian friends who are expats working as airline pilots (Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, etc.). They do not pay income tax here and they have not given up their citizenship, but they have divested of their real estate holdings. There are also pilots who work for Canadian carriers but who live outside the country (places like Bermuda and Grand Cayman). They keep accurate records of their time “in country” and only pay income tax for the amount of time they are flying in Canadian airspace. It saves them thousands in income tax.

Canadian here. I’m pretty sure you don’t have to renounce to live in Monaco, but if you keep any ties (property, phone account, or even a bank account) in Canada, the CBRA will continue to count you as a tax resident. Chances are, lance still wants to keep some things in Montreal, and this is why Monaco doesn’t make sense.

Almost right Kym, &nbsp; In the same La Renzo complex where Max Verstappen now lives, Rinat Akhmetov purchased a five-floor, 21-room penthouse in the Le Renzo building. for €471 million (approximately US$550 million)

Gille Villeneuve lived in Monaco with his family. That shocked me a little.

It&apos;s funny to have half the grid living in a place smaller than Central Park in NYC. Wonder how often they&apos;ll casually bump into each other.

A friend told me there are also many senior citizens living in Monaco. Not much young folks.
