The stove is a brilliant way to keep the house warm very efficiently.

So nice 👍 The chairs are incredible, please don't change anything and they fit wonderfully in the kitchen, it's not necessary to have matching set,you can have mismatched chairs or different colour chairs or table, also the green and blue go together❤You are lucky to have this heating system with this severe cold!!!Take your time and do little things little by little, you can find a lot of things for free not only furniture😊

The idea to turn the livingroom into a library sounds nice, but you will need to make sure that you still have comfy seating, not just a random collection of furniture you seldom actually use. If your central dining space is in the kitchen, you might get rid of the formal dining area. My own library never gets used, it hosts a lot of superfluous chairs (I dread to get rid of them because they are heirlooms). The fact that the room faces north is rather good for a library. If you set up customized shelving you should incorporate enough electrical outlets for ljghting, TV and other necessesties. Secondhand IKEA Billy are available on blocket even in northern Sweden and can be repainted in any colour you may fancy.

Love this house tour! Well done on figuring out the heating, every stove has its kinks! Here in Finland we also maximize a wood stove by putting a soap stone slab on top, it stores heat and releases it gently.

I really like kitchens! Yours look very cosy.💛 When I was studying I did all my tasks in the kitchen, and now when I do papercraft I also sit by the kitchen table.
Kökssoffor är så charmiga!
/Ditte

Those chairs are incredible. When it comes to the job market up north: lots of Swedes work remotely, the job is in f ex Stockholm but you only have to be there maybe once a week. And if you do find a local job, make sure to become a union local rep. The Swedish unions are screaming for new local reps to eventually pick up to the central level as a directly employed full time negotiators. You don’t need to be a lawyer, they will give you the education you need. But having experience as a local shop steward is prioritized.

Finally catching up on some of your longer videos. Your home is lovely! My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to design and build our own home and one of our must haves was a large kitchen/dining area so that we could cook and gather together with friends and family. I would say it is the heart of our home as well. I’m also with you on sleeping rooms. I want calm, muted, earthy colors and simple decor. I also like waking up to the sunshine in the window so our bedrooms all face east or south east in our house. 😊 Thank You again for sharing your lovely home. ❤

I think you would like a fireplace in your living room/ library with bookshelves flanking it - very cozy ! Is it an outside wall so that it will work ?
