  I'm a mechanic, my friend is an electrical engineer. We bought good used washers and dryers (over half worked) we fixed and upgraded the washers in one day. Same with dryers, one day. Anytime something breaks we're qualified and overly capable of fixing everything. Even plumbing and electrical. We made a LOT! Owned everything out right, no repair bills...if I had any advice, learn to fix your own equipment, you'll go from making money to being wealthy

  I know many landlords who own Laundromats and they been very busy and wealthy and for sure profitable.

  My family owned a laundromat back in the 70's. It was a small community laundromat. They told me that people kept breaking into the machines and taking the quarters. So, they later changed it into a community store that we managed more in the 80's. It's been sold now. When more mainstream stores were being built in our area (Family Mart & Kash & Karry now called Food Lion), it kind of put us out of business, but I'm grateful for that business knowledge for my family.

  I owned a laundromat for years in a high tourist area. All I can say is this; if you can't fix your own machines don't get in this business. There are NO trustworthy repair people and the fees are astronomical.

  It’s funny how this video popped up as I was about to come into a nice sum of money. There is a laundromat down the street from me with very old machines, but for some odd reason, much of the neighborhood seems to patronize this place anyway. I was thinking maybe I should make a move on that spot, all it needs is updated machines, and a better attitude from the person who works in it
