  That extra year in college might be the sole reason the Spurs are still in San Antonio today. The butterfly Effect on that one decision is massive in NBA lore history.. great video

  The man made a promise to honor his mother's dying wish, and somehow that isn't "normal." I'm interested in reading that thesis because I have a feeling it's as relevant today as it was in 1997.

  I’m a big wake forest guy, and we still tell stories about the legendary trash talk he got up to in the nba thanks to his psychology background. The big fundamental will always mean a lot to us here 🫶

  I had a math teacher back in high school. Super forgetful and very dry. The first half of class was always just going over the second half of the class we had before because he couldn’t remember where he left off. He’d also always get sidetracked on these dull stories. One of which was that he was Tim Duncan’s swim coach. It’s a neat little fact, like “oh I worked as a barista and John Cena would come there when he was in high school!” But the class would always egg him on and turn it into this drawn out ordeal so we didn’t have to do math. “His sister swam too. I actually worked more with her” “he was good. Quite the athlete” like it was clear beyond that one little fact there was no story in there. But as a consequence, whenever I think of Tim Duncan, I think of him swimming before basketball.

  The crazy thing is another video could be made about Tim but regarding his free agency in the summer of 2000, since Tim was reportedly close to leaving the Spurs and joining the Magic if not for the fact his then girlfriend (later wife and ex-wife) wasn&apos;t allowed to travel with the team. That could&apos;ve had massive ramifications for NBA history as well.
