Cambridge University got back at me for this by putting copyrighted music in their videos, so that any reaction video to their channel gets copyright claimed. Thanks, MY Cambridge

A video where 15 people tell you their name and which part of London they're from, never to be seen again, is a more accurate reflection of freshers' week than any prospectus

Honestly cracked up at the 'what to wear' bit. Hoodie in an interview is genius vibes for sure

To the lady saying you should enjoy your interview... Mine went by so quickly I felt like I was in another dimension and burst into tears as soon as I left the building. But I got the NatSci offer and graduated now! 😃

Hey hey hey, I am one of those legendary 1% who failed to complete the degree at Cambridge. Now after doing a PhD, I got a job at a company in Cambridge that was founded by alumni of Cambridge.

Lol I attended my Oxford interview in an old sweater where the elbow was nearly worn through. Luckily it was virtual.

Not Cambridge, but I've just sent in my application for Oxford (exactly 40 minutes ago), and this is very fun to watch and is easing my nerves a bit about my upcoming interview (God willing) and aptitude test. Thanks for the content!

The fact YouTube recommend this just before I'm doing my engaa exam for engineering is brilliant, it's great to hear a more realistic insight into Cambridge.

The snipers for walking on the grass truly cracked me up. Haha.

As someone who got into King's Cambridge last year and then quit after the first year because it just wasn't my vibe, I've gotta say 'everyone at Cambridge is from London' is surprisingly what it felt like at times, but I guess that just reflects population density in the UK. I think I got past the interview and enjoyed it because I have a huge passion for my subject (ecology, which I had to do via Natural Sciences), but I had a lot more passion for my interests than I did for Cambridge as a place. Maybe I just missed the north, or maybe the Covid year put me off. Also, yeah, I went to interview as casual as my Mum would allow me to, so had hoodie and polo shirt with climbing trousers too. Also they do ask some weird questions, one of my interviewers just put a weirdly pigmented potato on the table and was like 'tell me about this', I did notice that they do like really niche interests though, and I attribute me getting in to my knowledge on bryophytes (mosses+), which is an unusual interest for anyone under 70. Also the bit where Francis talks over the bit about all the opportunities of stuff to do at Cambridge by just saying 'work' is absolutely how it was lol, unless you're doing one of those lazy subjects that don't even have Saturday lectures like I did. Also I got to walk all over the lawns because I was involved in recording species there lol, it's the biggest power move in Cambridge to walk on the grass, even the night climbers wouldn't dare.

Looking back I can’t believe I took those admissions videos seriously

Would love to see more videos on Cambridge life and environment from your perspective. It's hard to find students who share the truth.
