Do You Actually Need 2 Beosound 2s?

  I’ve had 2 paired for over a year. The difference is remarkable. But as Josh says it depends on how you listen to music. I would say of you value hearing individual instruments in left and right then get 2. If music is just something you like to have on in the background, then 1 is fine. One word of caution. I had an old model which didn’t pair. So i had to sell the old model then buy 2 new ones on the mozart plaform. As i lost money in selling the old version it ended up getting quite expensive, and a shame B & O dont offer a service to convert older Beosound 2’s so that they are ready to pair with a new one. All said a great speaker.

  If I set up two Beosound 2’s on opposite corners of a rectangular room (7m x 4m), and primarily listen while walking around and sitting in three very different locations, would I benefit from setting them up as a stereo pair?

  Brilliantly explained. A lot of this sort of applies to other speakers too. I’m curious though: with the BS2, can you switch between forward-playing or omni modes while paired in stereo?

  I already have one beosound 2 on the mozart platform, im debating getting another to accompany my new premiere as front speakers with the two emerges i have as rears. This set up would most probably be overkill as my front room is not the biggest. Would this disable any of the speakers in the premiere?
