Jessica's reasoning for not going in to her parents house seemed completely justified to me. One of my friends my roommate went missing. No one could find him for two days and man I wish I had not walked into that freaking barn. The one favor I did for myself is I did not look at his face I didn't want to remember him like that.

How devastating for Jessica. I would behave exactly the same if I felt something was off at my parents’ house. Her intuition was spot on.

when I heard "white dust and flakes" I was expecting that to be the killer's dandruff, and the cops used it as a DNA sample

I don't understand how he can be eligible for parole when he's 82. Life should mean life. He took two lives. Ruined Jessica's life and with her wedding coming up.

As is the way with these kinds of things, the more MrB describes how lovely and wholesome some people are, the more I wonder exactly how gruesome their deaths are going to be.

I KNEW IT!!! I even thought Mark had created an anonymous “dude” which he would warn Gary not to do business with. This would point police elsewhere!!

It pissed me off as soon as the cops said they were suspicious of Jessica. She called to do a wellness check and they didn’t do it properly. She drove 5 hours down because they didn’t do the job of ACTUALLY checking on her parents

Gary was my history teacher and Jan was the librarian at the school. Dr Porter was a very dishonest superintendent and caused a lot of drama during and after his reign. It is such a tragic and senseless situation.

Who asks a friend to borrow $250,000 out of nowhere and expects a yes? Mark.

I definitely understand why Jessica would be terrified to go in. She wouldn’t want to see her beloved parents like that, since she was so certain something must’ve happened to them. And I also understand if someone in that situation is afraid that the perpetrator might still be there.

I think the main reason why you might feel like you should go in is if you think there’s a possibility that the person you love could still be alive and need your help. However, at this point, Jessica knows that it’s been about 24 hours since she was supposed to have heard from them. She felt strongly that they must’ve been killed or at least badly injured. So by the time that she is outside the house, it makes a lot of sense for her to just call 911. Now that she is physically there, she can open the house, giving police access inside. She thinks they’re probably not alive. But even if they are, they’re so badly wounded that you really just need EMTs as soon as possible. If they were that badly hurt, they would need emergency medical treatment that she couldn’t provide on her own. And she had five hours in the car plus many hours at home beforehand to think about these things and decide what she would do when she got there. It’s not like she made the decision not to go in in a split second.

I would take it a step further than just not wanting to see whatever had happened to a loved one .. I'd be scared that if someone did something to them they (the assailant) would still be in there, and I'm not brave like that 😮😅
