  Great video Molly!  I'm watching from Canada and really appreciated how you showed the process of getting the grain off the cobs.  All three of you worked as one team so well!  I grew up on a farm as well but things were more mechanized so if you gave me a sack of corn cobs and told me to get the grain I think I'd take much much longer.  Dad with the screwdriver opening up the row and you and mom breaking the rest loose.  Your technique using another cob is brilliant, saves the the fingers!  Great way to tell a backstory in the beginning while showing every day life.  I didn't think your part of China would share weather so similar to Canada. The meal looked delicious and gives me ideas for my own cooking.  By the way, I think your English is better than mine lol.  Thanks and keep going :)

  Hi Molly, Watching your video made me feel like time just flew by, and it really spoke to me on a deeper level. I enjoyed seeing the more down-to-earth way of life in rural China. I also think you made the video extra interesting by the way you positioned the camera. It made the experience feel much more immersive.   When I was a kid I helped my grandmother deshell the corn. But the way you do it... is something new for me. Your dad is using just a screwdriver to make those dents. Hm very clever! Very efficient! I learned again something new from your video. Thank you!  And thank you for your new recipe!

  Saludos desde España. &nbsp;En mi casa también se planta millo (maíz), cuando está seco se lleva al molino . Ellos lo &nbsp;tuestan y &nbsp;lo muelen, lo llamamos &quot;gofio&quot; y lo comemos con leche en el desayuno. Los carozos (mazorcas) las guardamos para ayudar a las brasas cuando hacemos fuego. <br><br>El Gofio, lo utilizamos para la leche, para los potajes o caldo de verduras, e incluso, hacemos postres con él.
