  At the end, when Sting says, "niiiice conversation."  That's your standing ovation right there, Rick.  You're the only person in the world who could've done "that" interview.

  Sting was surprised in “the first 8 bars” of this interview… you could see him visibly, and hear him audibly, change from professional interview mode to an active personal conversation.

  So this video has 10k comments, so I'll be drowned out...but  I JUST met Sting and I mentioned how amazing this interview was. His eyes lit right up. He was super nice.

  I love how this began with Sting looking a little bored or overly serious or even skeptical, and then because of Rick's obvious love for music and Sting music, he became 100% engaged and alive. Sting is a guy who's mostly seen and heard it all - but I'm guessing some of these things discussed nobody has ever asked him, and he was glad to expand on them all.

  Sting went from “I do not really want to be here” to “do I have to leave already”.  This interview is top notch and one of the industry’s best.   Fantastic vid

  Honestly and truly, Sting has never had a great interview until now. This is the definitive edition. Well done to Rick Beato. It takes a musician to know how to get Sting to talk about Music.

  This makes me smile so much, you can't imagine the joy it brings to hear a competent interviewer asking Sting in depth questions about his music instead of bringing up gossip about his tiffs with Copeland or his private life. I hope more great musicians decide sit down with Beato and talk music.

  Rick is a masterful interviewer. Notice how Rick spends 20 seconds asking a question, shuts up and watches quietly as these two guys talk for the next 10 minutes. THAT is a special skill.

  This is how you conduct an interview: Know your subject, let them speak, know when to probe and when to shut up and at some point it turns into a conversation.  Here you have two typically reserved Englishmen who have probably sat through countless eyeball-glazing interviews, and ten minutes in they're relaxed, animated and enjoying themselves. Beautiful interview Rick, your warmth and knowledge made this happen.
