  I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers. When my Dad first found out he had dementia, he went to a lawyer and made every possible decision including the entire funeral, palbearers, everything. So when one of my siblings inevitably became upset over a detail, we could say "dad wanted this" and it was case closed. It was the best gift he could have given us.

  Story 1 is UNACCEPTABLE. <br>I am allergic to shrimp, my finacé&apos;s family loves shrimp. For a meal, one day at a party I asked my financé to taste test a cheese pod like dish for seafood. He ate it, said it was safe. Welp... he was dumb and didn&apos;t notice the shrimp. <br><br>Instead of doing what this man did (luckily my allergy was less severe than it is now) he immediately apologized and panicked, and ran to a CVS to get me benadryl to help with the swelling. If I had been as allergic as I am now, I would have been in the same situation. He would habe been absolutely distraught thinking he almost killed me. What a POS.

  When my dad passed away it was the opposite. Us siblings didn’t fight over his stuff, we just wanted some of his hoodies, cologne, hats, things that remind us of him. His wife of 3 years (who was abusive towards him and treated him horribly while he was dying of cancer) didn’t allow us to have anything and instead sold his stuff on Facebook. His clothes, shoes, everything. She conveniently blocked us all on Facebook so we couldn’t see her post. It got sent to me from a family friend. And a week after he passed she was heard at the bar saying “I only married that bastard for the money.” Small town, word gets around fast. Only good thing was he left bags of clothes at my house because of all the times she’d kick him out so I was able to distribute his items to my family. My dad’s cousin burst into tears when I gave her one of his hoodies.

  Epinephrine pens only works to keep you alive &nbsp;UNTIL you get to the hospital for IV treatments. &nbsp;The allergic reaction doesn&apos;t get resolved with an epi pen, if just keeps you breathing long enough for hospital intervention.

What on earth was she supposed to do, just go with it and act like she wasn&apos;t completely confused by who TF this Tyler person was? I don&apos;t even see how it could have been possible to not let it out that the sister had lied under these circumstances, and she did it to herself, absolutely not OP&apos;s fault. I can&apos;t believe everyone is blaming her!

  My husband is allergic to mushrooms. His ex thought he lied about this to just not eat them. She chopped them really small and put them in the meat sauce. Once he started to eat it, he began to feel funny, having issues breathing. Fortunately, he made it to the hospital after she freaked out.

I got some of her shirts and blankets. The greatest thing I got from her, though, was her cat. Her cat hissed and swatted at everyone before my grandmother died. After she did, her cat latched onto me. I got the greatest responsibility to care for my grandmother&apos;s cat while they fought over items

  It always baffles me when people with severe allergies don&apos;t know that an epipen is to buy time to get to the hospital, not a solution for a reaction. I got epipens once as a precaution, and the first thing they told me was that if I needed to use it, go straight to the hospital/er afterward. If you have a potentially life-threatening allergy, I feel like you should know this

  When my mom died, my siblings and I made a box of things we all wanted. Instead of fighting over the things, we get together once a year and go through it like a time capsule. She didn’t have many things of value, but a lot of heirlooms and sentimental things. And all three of us split the most important things among us. She was a journalist, writer, and photographer. One of us took the journals and articles collection. One of us took the photos. The last of us got to keep her ashes. We’ve all agreed to shift custody of the items every five or so years, but after almost three years, we don’t even care that much about it anymore

  Dude. My husband&apos;s ex wife completely fabricated having a child that she allegedly put up for adoption. He didn&apos;t find out that it was a lie until after finding out about a REAL pregnancy that she hid from him for months so that he &quot;wouldn&apos;t leave her&quot;. The details of how she gaslight him are insane. I have a very difficult time coparenting with her. She did it again to a new guy!

  Second story, Beth wouldn&apos;t have been embarrassed if Beth didn&apos;t run her mouth with lies. You&apos;d think parents would be more concerned about the fact that their kid made up a whole other dead kid in the family and lied her ass off for years but sure, the very accidental reveal of the lie was the wrong move here

  When my mother&apos;s parents passed, her siblings did &quot;fight&quot; over items they wanted. My mother didn&apos;t and my brother and I were raised not to do that. Approximately 10 years after my father passed, my mother took my brother and I to the shed and told us to pick tools out that we wanted. We did not fight over them, we would ask each other if wanted it first. I never understood why people fight over material items after a loved passes on.
