  A bike that still has a great presence in 2025 that’s 29 years since its original launch back in 1996, one amazing piece of machinery that I’m proud to say I’ve personally owned 2 and covered over 50,000 miles on them trouble free..thank you Honda…That one’s a minter.

  When I was a kid, these were all over the place. I always see the Blackbird in my mind when thinking about a motorcycle. It’s a legend in my eyes.

  What a beauty... I think this sort of design has aged so well, will still look great in 20 years time. I know it's a cliche but they really don't make them like this anymore. Realistically though they probably can't, it would mean we wouldn't be able to afford anything. An entire rocket ship bike for less than the price of luggage on a new GS.

  Had a few of these lovely bike's...rode one all year snow..rain.. Frost's... absolutely brilliant bike....had so much fun on them.... sadly I'm near 70... But still looking to buy a nice one?.... Still ride at present....nice bike!!!

  Wow thats a great looking bike and the sound is amazing. The older bikes looked way better than nowadays bikes.

  I had a 97 when they first came out. Got into debt and had to sell it. They&apos;re heavy and if you don&apos;t have muscle you need good skills, and cunning(!), moving them, getting out of places etc. Very comfy; in Spain the only thing making me stop was fuel ups. Rushing back for the Bilbao ferry I was cruising at 140 and the engine seemed grateful to be doing some work! &nbsp; &nbsp;Age 67 - I&apos;ve had a lot of bikes &nbsp;-this one was 10/10 , none of the others were.<br>edit &nbsp;- i did swop the end cans &nbsp;- but that&apos;s common for most bikes.

  What a great review Mark, and once again it&apos;s nice to see older bikes like this featured. While I never rode a Blackbird I have owned 6 Hayabusa and 2 ZZR1400&apos;s, and as quick as they are I&apos;m quite sure the power output of the CBR1100 Blackbird would not feel out of place in their company. The thing I like most about these so-called &apos;hyperbikes&apos; is their long wheelbase. Super comfortable for long distances and stable as anything even in a moderate wind. More reviews like this please!

  I have a 97 carb version blackbird in mint condition <br>Of all my bikes I love this one the best.

  Hondas build quality at its best, well looked after examples are amazing value. I rode my local dealerships demo for a weekend back in the late 90s while my CBR600 was in for servicing, I was considering changing but couldn’t afford the 9k that they cost……😢 a legend in the making. Thanks for a trip down memory lane Mark 👍
