Arturo Vargas is a classy individual. He went on a You Tuber's channel that reviewed this song and granted the You Tuber a 30 minute interview as he felt very humbled that she had reviewed El Pastor. When Mariachi Vargas visited Spain a few months ago she got the opportunity to see him perform live and meet backstage with him.

El Mariachi Vargas es el mejor del mundo. Y con una Orquesta Sinfónica es fabuloso.

Mariachis is what the type of band one would use to serenade your love :) They originate in the state of Jalisco.

That mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan is the same mariachi playing with Linda Ronstadt in her album and I'm guessing with her events too.<br>But mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan is well known in Mexico and the world, world renowned

Mariachis actually started as “wedding singers” during the time when Emperor Maximilian ruled Mexico (Mariage being French for wedding or marriage, hence mariachi).  They were traveling minstrels.
