  Fun fact, it was confirmed in the anime that the gym leaders do all actually have very powerful Pokémon, they just intentionally adjust their team based on their opponents making the fight mostly fair and a true test of skill.

  Fun fact, misty almost replaced lorelei in gen 2 because of her popularity in the anime. Clearly she deserves that raise.

  Misty&apos;s run was so surprising. She only has 2 pokemon. And yet, she gets all the way to champ. Imagine how much of a beast she would be wth a full team. Give her a lapras, gyarados, kingdra, slow slowbro and slowking, and set her loose.

  i love the idea of gym leaders constantly trying to one up each other to the point that nobody can actually get any badges because the gym leaders are all too strong

  In high school my buddies and I held a Pokémon tournament with 16 people and the dude who brought a starmie , literally swept with one Pokémon versus six across the entire board

  I would pay actual money to watch an anime series where all the Kanto Gym leaders challenge each other to become champion, and Misty becomes the one.

  Honestly, given that Misty in every version of the game is reliably one of the most competent (for level) gym leaders in the series, and Lorelei is reliably the most competent E4 member for several generations, it isn&apos;t shocking that Misty has the largest promotion and Lorelei was the most common E4 roadblock in the video.
