I've been a fan of Chicago since I first heard "Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is". Still have that 45. Still listen to it to this day.

25 or 6 to 4 is quintessential Chicago. That brass and Kath's guitar!

Beginnings, my favorite song of all time. I'm 68 and first heard it sitting on a pier when I was 12.

When Terry Kath died so did Chicago. They were never the same.

When Terry Kath died, Chicago as we knew it died with him. It's ironic that the last hit song that Chicago ever had that resembled old Chicago was "Alive again" from the first album following Kath's death, and while the song wasn't specifically about Kath, James Pankow said that he thought about Terry Kath when he wrote it. The horns and guitar were both prominently featured in the song, which is something that Kath likely would have approved of. Early Chicago is still some of the best music I've ever heard. What Chicago ultimately became is sadly pretty bad. It just shows how ultimately stupid the execujerks in the music industry have ALWAYS been. IF they were actually smart, there's a Peter Cetera ballad on each record from 1976 onward, but otherwise the band's sound and identity would have remained intact because they were stacking hits BEFORE "If you leave me now" was recorded and released. Greed makes people do some pretty dumb things.

When Chicago lost their horns, they quit being Chicago

If You Leave Me Now was not the demise of Chicago. It is a great song. The death of Kath is what killed the band.

The brass and the harmonies were everything along with some amazing lyrics.
