I'm into my 13th year since diagnosis and I must say that since beginning to learn to playing the drumkit 18 months ago, combined with Stamets Stacking my degeneration has ceased!   Holy crap, this is amazing and I am so happy for this guy! I'm a Physical Therapy Assistant student and I recently just wrapped up a research paper on patients with PD and saw really promising things on rhythmic and music based therapy. It's interesting to note, that having to keep more than one rhythm on time would potentially increase the brains production of new neural pathways, due to the increase in neural activity required. Very intriguing stuff! Congrats and I hope you continue to see benefits from this sort of therapy and treatment.

  THANK YOU!! Your story is simply the best. I shared with a friend who has Parkinson’s, relative recent diagnosis. I hope it encourages him to invite in snd allow supporters to support and for him TO Do for himself, too, and try, and keep trying. 👍🥰

  I am 65. Was diagnosed with PD three years ago.<br>Since then I take levodopa as advised by the doctor. But yet to expect improvement. &nbsp;Thanks so much for your inspiring sharing. I will try my best to follow your method

  Thanks for your story. I have Parkinson&apos;s as well. I&apos;ve had various electronic drum kits over the years as a hobbyist drummer but dropped playing after the diagnosis. &nbsp;Over the past few years I have gotten back into playing and have assembled a new electronic kit. I&apos;m also trying to learn piano which is definitely challenging and even though I can&apos;t play them, I build electric guitars. &nbsp;Music is great physical and mental therapy. &nbsp;Keep on rocking!

  Thank you David for telling others about your Parkinson’s story thus far, with this video. My husband was diagnosed eight years ago and he works hard every day to hold it at bay. He participated for three years in a Parkinson’s boxing class which was very helpful both physically and mentally however after getting Covid in early 2021 he hasn’t been able to return. ROCK STEADY boxing for Parkinson’s was developed at John Hopkins university and has spread around the country as a valuable tool for those who can participate.
