  Honestly he is every fighters favorite fighter. Hes a crazy good dude that lives life to the fullest. His grand parents were the best parents he could have and his life would be an awesome movie or docu-series.

  Was lucky enough to meet him at a stampede. I was barrel racing while he was bull riding. It is a highlight of my life cuz cowboy walked up to lil ole me when i was 14 and said " aint you the canuck" i honestly thought there was gonna be a joke or possibly abit of hate. I felt under a spot light. He said " your maken your country proud making it down to texas" i got him to sign my saddle and now it sits proudly on a homemade mantle

  If you haven't heard cowboy tell the story of him Cave-diving on rogans podcast, it's DEFINITELY worth a listen.  I was on the edge of my seat listening, palms sweaty.  Intense, intense story...

  I remember watching him on WEC when it was on tv on versus. We had basic cable but they messed up somehow and we got all the channels like showtime and HBO for  free and also versus. That's how me and my grandfather got into mma and then started watching all the classics on pride and even getting into K1 when it would come on other channels. My grandfather passed in 2023 by those times we spent watching those exciting fights and K.O.s are treasures memories. 😢

  When a fighter says I wasn't there it's time to retire. But cowboy was as entertaining as any fighter on the UFC roster.

  good to see Cowboy getting some recognition. Those of us that have been with the UFC for a few years knew Cowboy, the fighter, when he was in his prime. He would still beat 99.9% of asses in the street.

  Massive respect for Cowboy despite not winning a world title. His morals, values, heart and ability alone deserve respect. Entry into the HoF means the UFC also respect him. Best wishes Cowboy! Stay retired 👍🏻

  Loved this. He was my favorite fighter.  Made me cry when you brought up grandpa and Garcia that night he made his debut.
