  Phillies fan here but I live 2 hours down the road in Belleville so most of my family are Jays fans.<br>I grew up an Expos fan and Vladdy Sr. needs to slap his boy across the head. He didn&apos;t learn this from him. His old man took LESS money to stay in Montreal. His dad was a stud. Hell of a better player too.

  It&apos;s hilarious seeing people go on about losing Mattingly when most Phillies fans I&apos;m seeing don&apos;t like him as manager and can&apos;t wait to get rid of him lmfao. Goes to show that people are never happy and always blame the manager for the failings of the players. And yeah, this year is on the players not the coaches. <br><br>As for the discussions about Vlad losing weight, if you look at him in his regular clothes/shorts before the game he actually does looks pretty slim, his legs are thin he just has the type of build where he carries his weight on the back end lmao. I don&apos;t even think there&apos;s much he can do about that it&apos;s just how his body composition is. This particular convo is kind of ironic bc imo Vlad has done more work to stay in shape as opposed to Bo who looks like a completely different person now. And when Bo first came up the conversation around him was that he wasn&apos;t going to have enough power bc he was too skinny! Bo was actually athletic at the time, it&apos;s bizarre to me that he&apos;s aged this way. He&apos;s only 28! I think his dad probably influenced him too much with the body building bs and his body didn&apos;t handle it well. Barger is going to have the same problem imo, he clearly takes it too far and it seems like it makes you more prone to injuries if anything? <br><br>Anyway I think people are blowing the Vlad quotes way out of proportion and cherry picking what to be mad at. Meanwhile he also seems like he&apos;s coming from a place of hurt feelings and should just step away from the podcasts, he just seems emotional and you tend to say confused garbled things when you&apos;re in your feelings which is prob why he&apos;s contradicting himself every other word. This whole thing is kind of like watching two emotional people in a relationship enable each other to get more and more irrational and upset. I try to remember that it&apos;s tough to have the weight of a whole damn country of 42 million on your shoulders. I&apos;m not going to turn on him but I hope he starts listening to the hitting coaches seriously instead of relying on his own people or w/e he was doing. That&apos;s over. Just listen to the team.

  Very disappointing from the Jays. No heart. No pride. They can&apos;t even stay ahead of the Orioles, and they were almost shut out by another no-name starter. I have nothing to say about Vlad until I process the situation.
