Saw TADC: Last Act twice in theaters…And saw the finale (episode 9) again, for a third time, on YouTube when it premiered. I’ve been a TADC fan since the Pilot first came out in 2023 (when I was 15 or 16 years old); I loved the characters, the unhinged humor, and the stunning visuals…So, ever since the Pilot, I’ve been hooked. Watched episodes 2-8’s premieres without fail. I even bought the Movie Exclusive Merch today—the very day it was gonna be removed—after staying in the theaters after the end credits on my second watch of the movie & scanned the QR Code. I also bought the TADC bundle in Fortnite. Back on track: The ending was so bittersweet, but I loved it.

Can’t believe Jax abstracted…but we got hints in episodes 6, 7, and 8 (where he has panic/abstraction attacks, and also had a drug trip hallucination in 7). Jax’s backstory, the lamplight scene with Pomni and Jax, and the flashbacks with all the moments Jax (and Pomni) had going by as “Isn’t She Lovely?” By Stevie Wonder played in the background…Made me cry, honestly. I’m so glad we finally got to see a full fledged backstory with Ribbit and Jax, and how their friendship looked like. Ribbit was such an amazing best friend—hurts that she abstracted. All the scenes with Ribbit, the Lamplight scene, the “Isn’t She Lovely?” Montage…All of it tore me apart.

I love how the episode title is called “Remember”, since Pomni’s name means “Remember” in Russian, and how the image for the finale is a picture of Jax and Pomni sitting on a bench, under a starry night sky (referencing “La La Land”—saw posters of that movie on bus stops near the old neighborhood I grew up when I was a little kid—it’s a bittersweet movie about two dancers. “La La Land” also is a saying for an unrealistic, dreamy, fake place people “go” to for comfort…And it works so well with the atmosphere Episode 9 of TADC had).

Goodbye TADC…You’ve been my comfort show these past 3 years. Starting from when I was 15 to my current age, 18. And honestly? The best indie show I’ve ever seen. Episode 9 made me cry; a poetically bittersweet ending to close out such a beautiful show. 12/10 show, ending, & finale 😭💜💙❤️✨

{Unrelated, but my favorite characters are: Queenie, Ribbit, and Jax ❤️💚💜🫶🏼}
