  I was a oneness pentecostal preacher for many years and then got into the charismatic movement for a while and the so-called deliverance ministry (as you can see from my old YouTube videos). But by the grace of Christ our God I am now a catechumen in the Eastern Orthodox Church, the true Apostolic Church. I am so grateful! Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner!

  Every day that I learn more about the things Western Churches adhere to or practice, the more grateful I am that I went from being Atheist right into the Orthodox Faith. Christ is Risen dear brothers and sisters! ☦️

  I was a Pentecostal in Assemblies of God. Went to many other Pentecostal churches too. It seemed like they were trying hard to self manufacture a spiritual feeling. The spirituality only went so deep. Now grateful to be Orthodox!

  This was so good. Thank you Father you are so right about orthodox not being dead ritual. When I walk into the liturgy I feel like I'm in heaven with my Father.

  As a former pentecostal/charismatic for half my life, and now Orthodox, this spoke to me deeply, and I identified with all of it. Thank you Fr. Tom!

  I am a catechumen from a Charismatic background. There is a reason that this movement and Orthodoxy are the fastest growing. They want to <b>experience</b> God and know him intimately not just mentally ascend to theology. I am biased of course, but I think they make tender hearted and sincere converts who have a shorter distance to travel believing the mysterions of the Church and being excited that the Holy Spirit is “everywhere present filling all things.”

  This is the “Christianity” I converted from. I thank God for the Orthodox Church, Christ’s Body, and for drawing me to Himself. <br><br>Lord have mercy on us.

  Stillness really spoke to me. I&apos;ve been a Marian apparition pilgrim, charismatic Catholic, Assembly of God and Baptist churchgoer, and the laundry list of devotional and good works is very long. I&apos;m back in the RCC and battling occasional temptations to follow &quot;messages&quot; that prescribe a merry go round of devotional acts to forestall some unknown doom. At 70, you want to feel needed, you know? I&apos;m tired of being a chatterbox, though. Pray for me, if anybody reads this. Thanks.

  I was 4th generation oneness Pentecostal! Was Trinitarian Pentecostal up until about 2 and a half years ago. I am now an Orthodox Christian thank God
