  Kind of nuts the amount of craziness in this game revealed by challenge runs that would never be revealed in a normal playthrough because this game's combat is so easy to cheese

  So, funny story, that intro about a kid who&apos;s never played paper mario pretty much applied to me when I got this game. I didn&apos;t know how to do action commands and got roadblocked by the cone Goombas. Long story short, the most efficient way to get iron jumps isn&apos;t the stump, it&apos;s world 3, as there&apos;s a renewable iron jump before waking wiggler (if I remember correctly)

  Hmm are you allowing glitches? there’s a technique called the “kooll album” where you can walk parallel to the barrier of a cutscene trigger while opening the album to cause the event to not activate. <br><br>This can let you walk behind the still awake Chain Chomp in the volcano to hit its post out of battle, then you can enter battle where it will jump towards Mario and the rest of the event will play as normal, requiring no action commands

  I am that kid. The only way I managed to get past the first 3 spiked goombas was the hidden iron jump in world 3-1.

  I have the solution around that chain chomp that prevents the challenge from being completed, in speedruns there’s a glitch called kool album which can help Mario pass certain triggers, in this case with it you can get past the chain chomp and hit his post then trigger the battle which gets past the roadblock of needing to use an action command

  When I was a kid <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSeqtOwsKDA&amp;t=175">2:55</a> was my way of beating those goombas as I had no idea of what action commands were so it’s funny seeing this video now.

  I find it funny that someone would go through all this trouble, to then look up for glitches to deal with the chain chomp, and use Kool Album to progress without ever finding information of what an action command is
