Thanks so much for watching! Did you keep count of all the cuts through the video? No? That’s okay! I went through and counted twice so you don’t have to! The grand tally when we ran out of battery was 175 cuts! BUT that is just what I filmed. While I was pulling the brush out of the corner and the camera was turned off, I actually made about another 10 cuts! So Stihl ain’t lying! This thing could totally get over 190 cuts on one charge! Also, It only used about 1/4 tank of bar oil on a full charge.

I'm not commercial. I just own a 70 acre tree farm. I started off trimming trees with a Stihl 180. When these smaller, battery-powered saws started appearing on the market, I bought a cheap Chinese unit to try out, that didn't last a week before it just quit. Then I bought a Kobalt 6 inch from Lowes. It lasted less than a year before the bolt that tightens the chain pulled completely out of the unit. A few months ago I decided to bite the bullet and get the GTA 40 kit. This thing is tough as any Stihl product out there. I have run the batteries dead on it several times now, and like you, I was worn out before the batteries went down. And I'm still on the original chain, without a sharpening. It is an extremely sharp chain, and slices through most anything with ease. It struggles a bit on dry cedar limbs, but anything live is like butter to it. I am very, very impressed with my purchase, and plan to use it almost daily for all the prunung I do here. Big tthumbs up.

I work for the Forest Service, and I keep a Stihl 16” electric chainsaw (much larger than the tiny one shown here) in my truck for when I come across downed logs on mountain roads. I frikkin love that saw!

The single most mindblowing thing I have used the Ryobi like this for is etching/milling drywall joints for renovation and doing beveled cuts for patching. They're also super handy for chopping out fake-wood flooring! When used on drywall its as gentle as a jeweler's tool but lets you take the time to produce a beautiful work area and all you need is a catch-vac to keep the dust down.

When my wife brought home the GTA 28, I told her the sawmill shop suckered her in to buying that dinky little thing. Months later, I needed to saw off some nubs off a log at my sawmill. I saw this dinky little thing sitting by my big saw and thought, let's put this little princess saw to the test. Can I tell you, I had to eat me words and apologize to my wife. What a little work horse! Loved it so much, bought one for my 78 year old mother to limb trees. Now, when I saw your video about this tough little GTA 40, it immediately went on my wish list. I love all the upgrades Stihl made. They actually fixed the quirks from the older model like the bar oil reservoir, chain tightener, bigger bar and an extra battery. I can see how the new model can be so addicting to use. Well done Brea, well done! 👏👏👏

Viewers from Ontario, Canada here. We bought the smaller version of this chain saw on your recommendation. It has been a real game-changer, as my husband had been disabled since his stroke in 2018, and we maintain 17 acres of trails using a golf cart. We have used the small one so much, can't wait to purchase this version in the spring. Thank you !

I bought one for my wife for Christmas last year. She LOVES it! It cuts very well. The only issue is the battery life. When we purchased ours, it only came with 1 battery, so we purchased a second

Maybe do what ProjectFarm does - get a bunch of old 2x4's and cut off 1' slices until the saw quits. Keep up the good work. I sincerely hope these videos are making you rich.
