I’m obsessed w/ the late 1800s-early 1900s wild west era. I wish there were museums near me that displayed things from that time period.

My grandfather was born in 1880! He was 56 when my mom was born and I was my mom’s last . Still, it’s crazy to think and to think about all the changes he witnessed

A time of railroads and revolvers, telegrams and tenements. People worked hard, lived simple, and faced changes that shaped the modern world. It's incredible to see how much progress came from such rugged beginnings.

My grt grandmother was born 1880. Her family wagon-ed from Kentucky, She sat in her wheelchair watching "a man walking on the moon."<br>Even as a kid, it brought tears to my eyes.

My Great Grandmother was born in 1864 just outside RIchmond, VA. When jet airline service came to RIcmond for tbe first time, she was on that plane. She lived to be 98 years old, passing away in April, 1962. I was nine years old and knew her very well. Her father had been lost in the CIvil War (Confederate). Her mother remarried to a Union soldier from Massachusetts, stationed in Va.
