  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQdooVKAWeA&amp;t=560">9:20</a> what I liked most about the stalker enemy and the other encounters was how most of em kinda reflect Brian&apos;s anxieties about starting a family. the first act he&apos;s fighting a happy married couple that live on a farm with a dog. we see a photograph of them smiling together like a perfect family, and then he blows their heads off as his girlfriend is on the phone telling him to pick up 😂 the stalker monster itself grabs people and literally combines them into one entity, complete polar opposite of what Brian&apos;s doing by avoiding and running from a family life. then there&apos;s the big guy in the sewers who&apos;s &quot;pregnant&quot; with rats. there&apos;s the scene in the maternity ward with the newborns. and I think it&apos;s important that the reason Brian gets bitten and infected is that he tries to help a child. there&apos;s probably more there but yeah that&apos;s something I liked about the film. wish the ending had the same impact as Weapons&apos; ending did, but overall really fun, great-looking, well-acted and edited film. well worth a watch.

  for me the virus felt like a lot like the creature from john carpenter&apos;s the thing, how it mutates infected and assimilate them

  I feel like Zach took some inspiration from The Forest as well. The monster that was the fusion of all the bodies really made me think of stalking Bryan made me think of that.
