1.) Defend while developing with minor pieces
2.) Don’t do unnecessary trades that can help your opponent reposition pieces
3.) In tight positions time can matter more than material
4.) Look for counterplay not passive defense
5.) Know premature attacks create weaknesses

Very well. If it can help any beginner I would like to say: If your opponent brings out the queen early and you dont know what to do? Harass it, and develop while you are at it. This is why you can actually learn something by playing the Duras gambit. Another gambit to learn from if you can find the tutorial is Keoni-Hiva gambit. It is dubious, like the Duras but learning about attacking lines and sacrifices comes like a compensation and will stick with you for life. Another line is Helloween gambit, where you learn about follow ups. Now you have three main ideas to try and go for when you play. Anyway, great upload Iggy! Thx!

I’m trying to get into the mindset of attacking squares rather than pieces and this game illustrates perfectly why it’s so deadly.
