  Sri Lanka has never had a well-functioning foreign policy. The system is built to loot money from the people, regardless of whether they are Sinhalese or Tamil. India was only willing to help Sri Lanka because they feared China and worried that China would grow stronger in Sri Lanka. You have to understand why Indian security manufacturers are mostly located in the south: the north of India is fragile, and almost every corner of the western, northern, and eastern borders has its own problems. That is why they built them in the south, believing that Sri Lanka would never be an issue. Therefore, Sri Lanka has always served as an additional security perimeter for India, which was also a reason for the civil war. If there were no security problem, India would not be interested in Sri Lanka.

  As an indian, one thing for sure i know and it&apos;s One&apos;s sovereignty. &nbsp;Indians love srilanka, nepal, bhutan. But for your own good you must stand on your own no matter how difficult it may be. <br>Sri lanka must not allow any influence above it&apos;s own people. This is the way to progress. &nbsp;We indians were excluded from crucial technologies, We had and still have &nbsp;nowhere to go but to build it ourselves, and this is why we can still stand while world powers are actively trying to break us. Same for iran, they didn&apos;t bow down, they developed tech on their own without giving up sovereignty. <br>Sri lanka have potential to go far ahead, they are not constraint by religious dogma. &nbsp; 🇮🇳❤🇱🇰

  I am from Singapore of Tamil /Indian origin. I have been to Sri lanka 5 times and love the country. Happy to see Sri lanka progressing well. Looking forward to another trip soon.

  i had been india for five years and i have many friends in india.i have had the opportunity to stay in China for a one year.India will remain as the big brother of sri &nbsp;lanka always.China policy is something else.sri lanka cannot stand alone without india❤❤❤❤

  There is one thing I remember that Sri Lankans are not aware of: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Germans saw a celebration held in Canada by Tamils, both Indian and Lankan. When I visited a friend in Switzerland, a German guard on the German side asked me if Lankan Tamils need weapons. He assumed I was Tamil. If we inspect what brand weapons Tamils used, it might open an additional reason why Sinhalese and Tamils who happily lived together started a communal hatred.
