You won't see everything, but you'll see the best of it. What is the biggest mistake tourists make in Amsterdam? Going straight to the museums first thing in the morning. The queues are longest before noon and you miss the best hours for exploring the canals and neighbourhoods on foot. Do I need to book museum tickets in advance in Amsterdam? Yes. The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum require advance online booking. The Anne Frank House sells out weeks ahead. Book at least six weeks early for the Anne Frank House. What should I eat in Amsterdam? Try a fresh stroopwafel from a market stand, kibbeling (battered fried cod with garlic mayo), and Surinamese roti in the De Pijp neighbourhood. Skip the overpriced food on Dam Square. 🎬 MORE CITY GUIDES ▶️ One Day in Rome → One Day in Rome – Don't Make This Mistake ... ▶️ One Day in Paris → One Day in Paris – Don’t Start at the Louv... ▶️ One Day in Barcelona → One Day in Barcelona – The Sagrada Família... 💬 How would YOU spend one day in Amsterdam?
