I'm no biologist, but Neil fighting the traffic cones looks a lot like how adult male seals fight each other over females in their territory. My guess is he's playing/practicing.

New Zealander here. It was announced just last week that their population is now at 100. Still far too low but better than 49 I guess.

The reason there's no cone snail anti venom is because eachs snails venom is unique to each individual snail, like how every person has unique fingerprints

6:50 The late, great, Tartar Sauce, a.k.a 'Grumpy Cat' had feline dwarfism. Apparently she was super friendly and playful in real life, her condition just smooshed her face up all stuffy and mean look'n.

If you’re interested in Neil’s story Causal Geographic about loving seals to death gives a bit of Neil’s history. The video is kind of sad but very informative.

The Kakapo had a record breeding season this year; 90 chicks this year that reached 150+ days old. This brings the total population to 325 birds - still Critically Endangered - though better off than they've been at anytime in the past 75 years.

Kakapaos are like chickens they can “fly” short distances in the same way the Wright-brothers “flew”.
So they just jump and flaps like crazy to get onto a branch.

More Parz has a typo in the Neil the Seal short. It should say 4000kgs not 40,000kgs for the weight of an adult elephant seal.
