  Usually, SSDs come unformatted; the mistake is made by whoever formats them, because they format them as if they were hard drives.<br>Some SSDs drop in speed after the first 4-5 GB of transfer simply because they were formatted to 100%. To keep an SSD performing well, you need to reserve 10-15-20% as unallocated space on the SSD. This way, the SSD becomes slightly smaller once formatted, but performance doesn&apos;t drop. Of course, all of this depends on the type of controller, because some controllers can utilize unallocated memory and others cannot. Regardless, the SSD&apos;s lifespan is extended in any case by leaving a variable percentage—again, between 5 and 30%—of unallocated memory. On average, 15% is already enough for heavy workloads.

  My game loading times went from 16 seconds on average with my Samsung 990 evo plus to under 3 seconds with my crucial t705. Some just instantly load into the game and then for call of duty it was taking over 30 seconds with my Evo on the game launching screen, cut down to 10 seconds with my t705. A split second huh? Transferring files it is blazing fast 30 seconds for something that took minutes before. I&apos;d start using air coolers for your CPU if you go with gen 5 NVMe though. They will get hot if you don&apos;t have a fan blowing on them. Mine stays in the low 40s and hits in the 50s while gaming. I love mine.

  Rogueware m.2 NX200M 1TB<br><br>corrupt data , like actual windowns files that I had to solve by completly reloading windown, and recently i have been trying to play fall guys and ow2 , but it caps the drive @100% and everything freezes causing BSOD

  I&apos;m using Samsung 970 Pro (Gen3 2-bit MLC NAND) for 8 years. 0,5TB is not much but it was never the only disk space storage I had. I&apos;ll be switching to 1,92TB Micron 7450 Pro (enterprise Gen4 eTLC) and hopefully will be fine for the years to come.
