Fewer than 4% of the people watching this are subscribed, which means most of you will never see the next one. I research and record every video myself, as a practicing physician with no pharma sponsorship. Subscribing and turning on notifications is the entire distribution budget for this channel.

Three questions for you:
1. What time do you stop caffeine?
2. Do you wake up hungry?
3. Which part of sleep biology should I investigate next?

I read every comment. Your answers become my next videos.

Here's the FDA briefing document I mentioned, if you want to read it yourself: https://www.fda.gov/advisory-committees/advisory-committee-calendar/july-23-24-2026-meeting-pharmacy-compounding-advisory-committee-07232026

Lemborexant has been an absolute lifesaver for me after a lifetime of insomnia. Never mind 19 mins extra sleep, I get an extra full REM cycle.

4:00 Your videos are incredible, Dr. Hedayat. This is truly one of the best channels on YouTube. You deserve 10 million subscribers! I’m blown away by every video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge so honestly and never compromising the truth just to sell something. It’s so refreshing in a world where it can be hard to know who or what to trust. God has truly blessed you with a gift for teaching and helping others. This channel has genuinely changed my life. May God continue to bless you and the work you’re doing!

I only have 1 no more than 2 cups of coffee in the morning. Sometimes tea. My last caffeinated drink is by 11am.
I do all the sleep hygiene behaviors, freezing in a cold room, even though I hate the cold, 9pm bedtime, sleep mask, ear plugs etc. I saw the thumbnail hopeful for something to help my chronic insomnia. 😃
Oh well...🙃

Used to drink coffee all day long, lately switched it to decaf and only once in the morning… huge shift in my sleep patterns

Husband and I each have 1-2 cups of coffee first thing in the morning, 6 a.m. I take every non-drug recommended supplement to help sleep and I do pretty well now. During my working life, years ago, I had horrible insomnia; trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep. It was torture. Much better now. Husband wakes up at 2-3 a.m., wide awake (I used to) for an hour or so, almost every night. We have moved our bedtime earlier which is helpful. And we both sleep better when it is cool at night. It has been warm recently in LA and both had worse sleep, both improved when it cooled at night this last week. We are no longer disturbing each other because like a lot of older people, we are sleeping separately. Sleep is too important.

I appreciate the detail you provide, particularly the way you categorize the level of proof established for each treatment. A little more effort to summarize the conclusions would make it easier to digest, but the quality of information you provide is rare on YouTube.

I can't have any caffeine after lunch, or I'm in trouble sleep-wise that night.

Doctor, your videos are excellent, you help us a lot, you are an excellent scientist and thank you for putting subtitles in Greek in your videos because not all of us know English or other languages.

I only consume caffeine in the morning..never after 10 am as it sometimes triggers my occasional a-fib and I have difficulty falling asleep.
