  I think it’s also impactful that Clark chooses to succumb to the loop and dies in it and Mary breaks the loop but becomes imprisoned in awareness. That’s so real

  I think the look Mary gives the Captain at the end was acceptance and resignation that she can&apos;t help everyone. I wonder if she sees her mother in that monster, and this time she chooses to walk away. After all, wanting to help Clark put her in this situation. She finally realized she needs to put herself first.

  Many people believe that explaining or characterizing The Backrooms detracts from the mystery and horror; I think Kane did it well... At 20 years old
