The thoughts , can be God, ours and the kingdom of darkness. Going back to the garden is where it all started , and we have choices to make of what direction we will go with our thoughts . God gives us tools in his word and by his spirit to renew our mind and walk in his power . He said his grace is sufficient , in that grace is provided everything we will ever need for this life and eternity .

What Pastor John is describing about Thoughts, Feelings-words, Actions is the basis of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. The Bible described this pattern thousands of years before Psychology. I am a Christian Psychologist and my practice is based on Biblical Wisdom.

I think the verse in the Bible that says we should take every thought captive to Christ means that we should control our mind such that we’re thinking the thoughts of Christ continually. To know the thoughts of Christ, we should study God’s word and learn how to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
