The series first captured me in 2004. I had picked up a collection of games for the Sega Dreamcast, including Swords of the Berserk. The narrative within that specific game was so compelling it made me search for its original source material. Once I stumbled upon Episode 1 on YouTube, I was instantly captivated and immediately sought out a DVD copy. This anime wasn't just entertainment; it moved me profoundly, leaving me struggling to process the emotional intensity of the eclipse. The series was such a powerful experience that even my ex-girlfriend’s brother witnessed it and kept asking if he could see it again. Years later, he still holds my entire DVD collection, which remains a physical reminder of an anime that genuinely changed me forever.

What an incredible drawing, this is for museums, look at the attention for this one page, its like a hell tunnel going upwards, with the godhand at their throne and the Eclipse like a watchful eye, but wht i love the most is it feel like they are gonna move every second, insane...

GUTS: You’re right, we human are fragile. But even if we are wounded or tortured we must continue to live. You should feel the same pain we feel and see what I mean.
SNAKE BARON: No! Stop it! Help me!
GUTS: What did you do when people said those words to you? 😈😈

Sad to think that this tragedy happend 4 times before at minimum. Not even counting the normal apostles who can get away with sacrificing one thing, I doubt Griffith could have just sacrificed one person even if he asked. not to become a Godhand, and who knows how much worse or less worse the other member's initiations were. Guts may not know it but he is fighting for what he lost and the others who lost their lives trusting the wrong person.

This song. Instantly as you first hear the sound coming in, the eariness sets in. Absolutely haunting. It's like your senses are telling you : This is it. This is the end. You've entered this demonic ritual and you are observed.
