  I'm so glad you made this video. I wasn't even a Christian at the time you did the video.  As I was reading through the New Testament for the second time, and hit James 2 today, and I was confused and troubled by it, especially having been raised in Mormonism.  The light bulb went on as you explained it. I really hope your eyes will catch this comment :) <br><br>Im an Eastern Orthodox Christian by baptism and active faith lived during last 25 years, but recently, after a few longer periods of internal struggle, for the first time I opened myself to protestant thought and ever since then consider myself &quot;in the wilderness&quot;, meaning I am doing a big &quot;reset&quot; of my Christian faith, opening myself to all these resistancies and doubts that tormented me over my entire Chrsitian life span. I find &nbsp;you videos tremendously useful for my studying of scriptures, and I am very grateful to God in Christ Jesus for giving you to the whole world of Christians and God seeking people.<br><br>Since I believe that Im not the only one with current or previous Orthodox Christian background watching you, I hope that you will incorporate our doctrine more in your videos. Im aware that Orthodoxes and Catholics basically share a lot of similarities, so alot you say about Catholic church applies to Orthodox one, too (especially from protestant perspective). Yet, Orthodoxes constantly outlines differences in Orth-Cath doctrines and practices and we are quite far from being in the same box. So I would appreciate you adres &quot;our&quot; issues more often, or at least make a separate video about orthodoxy from your perspective.<br><br>Thanks in advance!

  I&apos;ve always thanked God for the thief on the cross. It&apos;s an undeniable example that faith alone is all that is needed for salvation!

  I come from a different faith-----that teaches that our good works can cover up for the bad.... honestly, that scared me... I knew I wasn&apos;t good enough<br><br>And when I first read James, I have never interpreted it as &quot;salvation is through works&quot;... but rather to an inwardly transformed life which came through faith that resulted in good works ... there are many people who might casually say &quot;yes, Jesus is God&quot; but never obey His words... I believe God has inspired James to write this letter to address such people .... it is for them to truly examine themselves and follow Christ as their Lord ... every moment of their lives ... and not just a careless lip service <br><br>Thanks Mike ...   This is very needed not only for those who believe in salvation works but also for those who believe you can live and love your sin as long as you claim faith. Love it! Great job in keeping to the text brother!

  Very well explained. I use this similar phrase with people. I tell them that &quot;we do works as a result of our salvation and not work for our salvation&quot;.
