I’m not a parent of any sort but I’d rather be in an uncomfortable situation with some old lady than have that old lady harm any children and potentially become apart of a crime scene myself.

  Gotta disagree with you on the grandma story. I work in a hospital and specifically I work on the same floor as the geri psych unit. One of the cleaning staff held the door open to let someone out of the geri psych unit, just being nice. Turns out they were a patient so it resulted in a patient who shouldn&apos;t have left leaving and the entire hospital had their geri psych unit access reevaluated. I think a situation like this is worse and much more embarrassing than just not letting someone in.

  Please do not hold the door unless you are 100% sure that person is trusted. That lady could very well have been the grandmother to a child but you don&apos;t know family situations and if she should be the one picking up that child. The rules exist for child safety, not to be difficult.
