It's so wild to me that it takes at least one person actually dying for the people hosting these games to even consider outlying possibilities that would result in serious injury and death

as brutal as these are, never forget the horrid deaths of multiple fans during the 2001 fry cook games, drenched in hot oil and sold.

the 2010 one was so sad because they just wouldnt stop showing the crash on repeat like we didnt just witness a man die and needed to see it again 10 times.

4:00 isn't it sad that multiple people had been injured, people called out the track for being unsafe, but it took someone dying for something to change

The first tragedy from 1912 reminds me of a time I made a similar mistake by putting vasoline on my feet before putting socks on thinking it would insulate my feet while skiing in frigid temperatures. It did the exact opposite and made my feet feel like they frozen solid. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn..

I remember there was a one minute silence at the Olympic game opening because of accident with the sleigh

The sad part about the second person is that they knew about the problems on that track and yet only acted after his death

I was in Vancouver on the night of Kumaritashvili's death. The entire city was in shock. I've never felt the same emotional energy as I did that night.
