American frontier history becomes completely different when you look at it through the perspective of survival rather than expansion.

1 of my favorite channels on all of youtube!!! I love the level of hard work and untold hours of research and compiling all of these fantastic events from Americas early history!!! Thank you for all the hard work you continue to do in providing such great video content!!! I always loved Americas early history. Now that I'm old and sick,  I can't tell you how much your videos do to take me away from my daily grind and teleport me to a place I can only dream of ever knowing. But in my youth I was lucky enough to gain some good outdoor camping and back packing around Mt. Hood OR and other areas. So at least I have been to the mountains enough to understand how truly beautiful they are and know how I never felt closer to God than I did during my trips in the wilds.  My wilds being nothing in comparison to any who have ever truly backpacked into remote areas with Grizzly bears and that kind of thing. I was in the "kiddie park" version by comparison. But it was enough to have gotten a good taste of the atmosphere.  I would hate to have to ever have dealt with a grizzly bear. My 1 black bear experience was more than enough for me.

My favorite show to wake up too, when I don't want to wake up, and then go back to sleep.

I’ve learned more about frontier history from this channel than I ever did in school.  Thank you for a very interesting lesson.  God bless.

This Channel is the Wild West Equivalent of the medieval youtube Channel „Schwerpunkt“ regarding information. Love it. 👌🏻

Watching from Escondido CALIFORNIA, this channel is the best thing YouTube has recommended me,so much history has happened on the same grounds I walk on,I can imagine these surrounding  mountains       and mother nature freezing my butt off and easily ending me 😢
