Honestly, that crash damage looks pretty minor considering the speeds involved. Helps that there wasn't a lot of mass involved.

Riding motorcycles as well as bicycles, I recognise some of that kit. Seeing the wobble in the damaged tyre is quite alarming though. Coming off at that speed is not fun. I have come off my bike a few times, the last of which was January 25, after slipping on diesel on the road and the pain I went through lasted for nearly three months. That was at less than 20MPH and yes, I was in full leathers with armour and I clobbered my Shoei helmet good and hard. Huge respect to the man for trying this. Triple figures on a sports bike is already enough of a hit for me, to do it on a pedal bike... Wow.
