I would add using a lanyard for the controller. Not only is it more comfortable and frees your hands to unfold/fold and hand launch and recover the drone, it also prevents it accidentally falling on the ground and getting damaged.

DJI drones have a shelf life. Just like all drone channels.

I don't think any current drone company is capable of replacing DJI - not even by a long shot.

The problem with buying a lot of batteries is they have a shelf life. It does not matter if you use them or not.

One thing I do to help keep my vents dust-free is that when I launch and land, I do it above the ground, into and off my hand.
